B.Ex.Sc. Doctor of Physiotherapy. APAM
Emma graduated from the Doctor of Physiotherapy at Melbourne University in 2016 following completion of a Bachelor of Exercise Science Degree at Bond University as part of the Dean’s Scholarship program. Emma is well known for her injury-prone history which evolved as a result of her attempt to participate in every sport during her high school years. Her extensive injury experience and fascination for human biomechanics and anatomy were her primary driving forces to becoming a physiotherapist.
Emma has experience treating an array of musculoskeletal injuries, but has a particular interest in the rehabilitation of rowing, skiing and AFLW injuries. Her sporting experience includes working with the Gold Coast Suns AFL, St Kevin’s Old Boys VAFA, Bond University Rugby team and the Major League Baseball Australia Academy Program.
Emma enjoys rehabilitating musculoskeletal injuries across the spectrum and is a big advocate for treating every individual as an elite athlete in their field. She takes pride in delivering high quality evidence-based rehabilitation that integrates both hands-on and exercise-based interventions, as she strongly associates with the motto ‘Movement is Medicine’.
Outside of work, Emma enjoys escaping the city and exploring nature, ocean swimming and travelling. She is currently working on improving her running skills, in an effort to compete in an Olympic distance triathlon (amateur in training).
